The past week has been super warm in Nashville and everyone was expecting the nice weather to continue. Of course, perfect weather never stays and it became freezing cold overnight. In celebration of the once-again-subzero temperatures, I thought I would share my top 10 items so far this winter: 5 fashion items and 5 beauty products.

1 • BEANPOLE Black Tweed Tailored Coat (available <here> but only in Korea)
The majority of the clothes that my family buys are from Beanpole. It’s a Korean brand and all of their clothes are really well made. They also offer lifetime warranty on all of their items, which is really great for me since I’m always ruining my clothes. When I went back home for the holidays, my mom gifted me this lovely coat that I’ve been wearing daily. It’s a cocoon-style coat that’s fully lined (making it super warm) and hits me right above the knee, helping me look a little bit taller. It’s really easy to match with everything and I love the flash of pastel blue on the inside of the arms, which I like to cuff up on warmer days.

2 • PIXIE MARKET Faux Fur Life Shoulder Bag (available <here>)
This was an impulse buy when I was in New York, but I’m really glad I purchased it. While the structure is very simple, it’s made from a pinkish-tan faux shearling that adds a bit of interest to my otherwise simple outfits. You can use this as a shoulder bag, a cross-body bag, and a clutch (I just tie the chains together on the inside of the bag). I think it’s a cute bag and that’s quite well-made for the price.

3 • FOREVER 21 Mouse Slippers (sadly sold out)
When I stopped by Forever 21 with my friend in New York, we both squealed over these adorable slippers. They’re super soft and lined with faux fur – perfect for combatting cold, wooden floors. Cozy slippers are the ultimate must-have item for spending a warm night indoors.

4 • HUGO GUINNESS FOR J.CREW Umbrella (available <here> – they have in store student discounts)
This isn’t really a “fashion” item but it is a cute item for the rainy and snowy winter weather. I recently lost my umbrella and only had a small, ’emergency’ umbrella that barely covered my head. I hadn’t thought about purchasing another one as it hadn’t rained in a really long time, but after a week of downpour, I finally decided to buy one. It’s designed by illustrator Hugo Guinness for J.Crew and features a really cute print. I love the design and the colors and it makes rainy days ten times better.

5 • TOPSHOP Ultimate Faux Leather Biker Jacket (available <here> – they have in store student discounts)
I’ve been wanting a leather jacket for the longest time but was never able to find a good deal. While I would have loved to purchase a beautiful AllSaints leather jacket, I wasn’t sure if I would wear it enough to justify the price. I decided to purchase a more affordable faux leather jacket and found this great deal at Topshop. I purchased it in store on Black Friday and got this jacket for around $80 with discounts. It’s lined with a warm jersey-type fabric and has a detachable faux fur collar, making it great for this weather. This faux leather jacket has tons of great reviews online, and I 100% agree. It was definitely my best find this past sale season.

1 • BITE BEAUTY Agave Lip Mask (available <here>)
I’ve heard so many great things about this lip mask and bought it on a whim while ordering online from Sephora. The first time I used it, I fell in love. It’s a really thick, sticky, honey-like balm that glides on your lips and doesn’t budge. Unlike other lip balms that you have to keep reapplying, this one stays put and actually nourishes your lips. My lips crack and bleed a lot during the winter but thanks to this lip mask, I haven’t been having any problems this year. It’s definitely not cheap, but I would 100% recommend and repurchase it.

2 • ARITAUM Honey Melting Tint in Coral Candy (available <here>)
I always get really dry lips in the winter and because of this, I can never wear lipsticks. I feel like every time I reapply a lipstick in the winter, no matter how creamy it is, it ends up caking my lips and feeling super heavy. During the colder weather, I prefer tints and this one from Aritaum has definitely been my favorite. It’s not too drying and leaves a long-lasting shot of vivid coral on your lips.

3 • SHISEIDO MA CHERIE Hair Oil (available <here>)
After cutting off a huge chunk of my super-damaged hair, I promised myself that I would take better care of it from now on. I previously stayed away from using oils in my hair as I was worried I would get greasy roots. However, after trying this product out, I became a convert. I use this product in my hair on a daily basis and it smooths out my hair, making it a lot less frizzy, without weighing it down. If you want a fragrant, light oil for your split ends, then this is the way to go.

4 •  KIEHL’S Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado (available <here>)
While my skin is usually very oily, the skin around my eyes have gotten super dry this winter. No matter how well I exfoliated or moisturized, the dry spots wouldn’t go away. I was previously using an extremely lightweight eye treatment from Clinique but decided to give this one a go after my friend told me how wonderful it was. I thought it looked a bit too heavy for me, but to my surprise, it sank in really quickly and didn’t leave my under eyes greasy at all. This eye cream is relatively affordable and super effective. A must-purchase for anyone with dry under eyes.

5 • LAURA MERCIER Silk Crème Foundation (available <here>)
Although I do have oily skin, I get a lot of dry patches in the winter and most of my foundations tend to accentuate these areas of my face. The Laura Mercier Silk Crème Foundation has been a godsend this winter. It not only has great coverage but also has a very natural finish. While it doesn’t last as long as my other base products, it’s been my favorite foundation for this dry winter.

So, there are my top 10 winter items. What have your favorite items been this winter?

Toodles ♥

PS: I wanted to change things up a bit and decided to take a stab at drawing on my iPad. I think it looks quite fun and hopefully, you guys enjoyed the illustrations as well :)
